OK, in general things we've been looking to buy:

Pyro - I think a budget of £250 is about right. (Including the members' gifts)
Some big smokes, 10g charges (Guy's), Mk5s, Thermobarics?

Bazooka £120 plus delivery.

Panzerschrek £149 plus delivery.

Rounds for above £32 plus delivery.

Remote det box £180 inc P&P

That's £731. (Plus delivery on some items)

We currently have £898.12. This INCLUDES the £200 that Guy holds.*

We have a further £180 income expected in this game, more if we open up the player numbers.

We're also looking at Jay building a US mortar, price TBC.

*Guy I need to sort out the money you owe to the pot, plus I hold £15 for Jason Evans' AFRA membership which I need to get to you.

Whoa there dude.

'shreck and bazooka will both require significant work, not to mention expenditure, to get them to function effectively and safely. Price? i'd be surprised if its less than 150 quid to get them both wired up, and a few prop rounds (i.e. the ones with pyro down the centre) manufactured.

Mortars - well, at least 175 for a US mortar. Then on top of that I need more steel tubing, to turn both into TLSFX pyro lobbing mortars, on top of that you still need the steel cans that the pyro sits in.

No way you can have two functional mortars - plus the recoilless stuff at that budget.

No, that's cool. I just wanted to get everything that we'd recently discussed in one place.

Personally I think it makes sense to concentrate on the mortars for now.

Det box is a simple purchase so we can hold off on that.

A pair of working mortars is more than enough for December. Wasn't that mortar steel tubed anyway Jay? The little steel pots for pyro must be cheap enough - any word from Tony yet?

The det box would be a nifty purchase for the finale barrage (hell of a lot less wiring to do as well).

yes ...fuck ...blowing all the cash we have on one game ?

Oh yes, and suggest i sell you the 10gs at cost . Wouldn't like to donate and fork out £200 ..

Suggest buy one rocket launcher side immaterial just to see how usefull good it is .

plus since we already have two det boxes and clackers why need more ?

Chommers you do still need to wire all the pyro to the det box, just not as far.

Err, exactly so. Much less wiring though, as the trigger box is with the pyro, not the operator - plus you don't have wires that players can cross and break, the whole pyro area is out of bounds, wires and all.
BTW, with the remote box we can make use of those tiddly bangs that we haven't touched - for straffing runs of mg fire (I'm planning an air attack to end the game).

Yes, 10g from Guy at cost is cool.

No, we won't be blowing all cash - Stephen was just showing what we had available and props that had been mentioned along the way.

Sorting a bazooka for this game might be a complication too far - we will already have new toys to contend with (mortars) plus pyro in-game and in any case will be too much for Jay to sort out in the sort time we have left.

Makes sense to get the remote pyro firing system sooner rather than later. As David says, it means a whole lot less wiring to lay out.

Bazooka and Panzershreck can wait IMHO.

Just to chuck a spanner in the works...

Yes, its another 70 quid. BUT, its waterproof, and in a Pelicase - much more rugged than the 170 quid system.

As an asset it would a justifiable as an 'investment' - a depreciating value of course but a re-sellable asset (unlike long term props that have limited resale value and things like vinyl banners which are a long term asset to us but valueless to others)

Can we get some of this pyro as well?

OK, going to order the waterproof version tomorrow unless you all object.

Typical though! Payment is via Paypal and I just withdrew the balance for security (not that the banks are secure anymore!) so it'll be a repayment to me job.

Cheers

Set the Paypal account to draw funds on the bank account automatically Stephen - no need to keep any money in the Paypal account. Make a Paypal purchase and my Paypal account draws from my home current account and should there be no money in that then it draws on the credit card. Simple!

Ah cool. Didn't realise that you could set it to draw from a bank account, I'm not up on PayPal, I always do it through my balance or a credit card.
